Burn To Shine: Chicago 09-13-2004

"Burn to Shine 2, in which Bob Weston, record producer and bass player for the band Shellac, curates a daylong recording session in a small, doomed house in Chicago. Bringing together disparate voices form the music scene he calls home and creating a portrait of a place already lost to time. A time capsule of a single day, a party for something unfortunate, a small sampling of an incredibly vibrant music scene. All recorded and mixed by Bob Weston, and shot beautifully in HD." - Brendan Canty 4/26/2005

Burn To Shine: Chicago IL is the second in a series of films that attempts to document bands playing live in spaces that are slated to be demolished. Placing them in a context relative to one another and their chosen city, and capturing forever what it means to see them up close in the most intimate of spaces.
