Working out of his apartment. Spencer earns his money as a hairstylist. He is also the adoptive father to a ten year olf boy, Noah , who was Spencer's late partner's son. Noah hasn't taken well to the situation and speaks to no one and his pet caterpillar is his only friend. And Spencer would rather hang out with his new lover Jesse than spend quality time with his son. Feeling guilty about the problem Spencer allows Noah's Uncle Ollie to be a part of the boy's life in order to alleviate sme of the parenting burden. As time and is ready to be a real father to the boy, but it might be too late. Noah wants to have a "normal" family with his uncle and his wife and be rid of a father he can no longer trust.
