In this bizarre love triangle, a heavyweight mobster in New York City falls for a down-on-her-luck society girl cast out of privilege when she abandoned her wealthy husband for a troubled concert violinist. The smitten mobster attempts to resurrect the fallen violinist's career in order to win her love. Not only one of the earliest gangster films but also one of the early "talkies."
