Living Dead Girl, The
A toxic spill revives a beautiful, dead heiress (Francoise Blanchard as a zombified Paris Hilton look alike) who needs to live and lots of it. Living Dead Girl is an unholy mix of sex, zombiesque violence with some truly poetic and poignant moments amongst the carnage. Nowhere is this contrast in styles more pronounced that the film's shocking and extremely gory finale which is now shown in its complete form.
This is one of director Jean Rollin's few attempts to explore outside of the vampire genre for which he is best know and was very successful both artistically and commercially. This version restores all previously censored scenes and presents them fully remastered from the original negative.
