For more than a decade, Anja has dazzled audiences all over the country with her talent and passion. As a teacher, she is known for her unique ability to communicate and maker her art form accessible to non-dancers. Anja has designed this unique fitness video to introduce the basic movements and concepts of bellydance.
In Anja's Bellydance Essentials Disc 1, you will learn the fundamentals of bellydance and a variety of basic moves including shimmies, hip isolations, upper body/arms motions, and half turns. In addition, you will also learn the techniques of body posture, proper muscle use and basic dance movements. After you've learned the basics, Anja will guide you through easy-to-learn choreographed sequences that are flowing and graceful.
In Anja's Bellydance Essentials Disc 2, Anja will teach you the basics of veil movements, clearly explaining and demonstrating how to use hand positions, arm patterns, weight changes, body alignment, as well as the air and the space around you to get the most out of your veil.
