Clark (Jason Bateman), a depressed local TV weatherman, and his close friend Floyd (David Harbour) are both trapped in stagnant marriages and desperately seeking a spark of adventure. The duo downloads a specialized hookup app designed for restless, married suburbanites, inadvertently pulling Floyd's wife, Carol (Linda Cardellini), into a chaotic, emotionally fraught love triangle. Using a non-linear, dual-timeline structure, this riveting dark comedy series opens with the shocking discovery of Floyd's murdered body at a public pool and spends its seven episodes tracing how hidden impulses, infidelity and the sad hungers of suburban life led these ordinary people down a bizarre and deadly path.
