God Save the Queens

Expanding her 2022 short film Marmalade, Jordan Danger makes her feature directorial debut with this audacious and candy-colored gem about a quarter of down-on-their-luck drag queens who end up stuck at the same therapy retreat, trying to get their careers back on track after a series of public relations disasters. Gigi (Jordan Michael Green) is desperate to catch a big break with their solo show by any means necessary. Marmalade (Kelly Mantle) struggles with being a seasoned comedy queen in an industry where youth and beauty are the valued currency. Rounding out the group are drag rock duo Rita (Laganja Estranja) and Stevie (Alaska Thunderfuck), who are feuding over their mutual ex when they're invited to perform in a high-profile talent show. Together, the queens reveal stories of their witty, dramatic and heartfelt adventures through showbiz, fandom and aging that will change each of their lives forever.
