Execution Of Raymond Graham, The
In exactly two hours, convicted felon Raymond Graham's (Jeffrey Fahey) life is scheduled to come to an end. Although his execution may seem to be warranted by the crime he committed, the lives and future of many individuals will be touched by his execution.
These include Graham's lawyers who are frantically trying to prepare a last minute reprieve, as well as the opponents and proponents of the death penalty who are picketing outside the prison walls. Even within the prison compound, the warden (Morgan Freeman) and other key personnel are to face their inner most feelings about participating in the state's first execution.
For two other families, it is to be a night of mixed feelings. One family anxiously prepares to witness the death of the man who senselessly murdered their son.
The other struggles to reconcile the terrible act of violence committed by their son and brother with the death penalty he now faces.
And as for Raymond Graham, as he sits and waits in his cell block, his bravado slowly turns to terror as time ticks away the last minutes of his life!
