Director Carlo Lavagna's feature debut, Arianna is a beguiling and lyrical coming-of-age story centered on timely and timeless questions about gender, adulthood, family and self-knowledge. Unfolding on an idyllic lakeshore in the Italian countryside, the film features first-time actress Ondina Quadri as the young woman of the title who, years after leaving, returns with her parents to her early-childhood home for a summer retreat.
