In a Quebec prison in 1952, Bishop Bilodeau accedes to an unusual request to hear the confession of an aging convict. On entering the prison chapel, Bilodeau finds himself locked inside, held against his will, and made to watch as the inmates stage an elaborate play - a recreation of events from forty years earlier, when Bilodeau and the confessor, Simon, were locked in a love triangle with another boy, the beautiful Vallier. A long-unavailable gay classic, Lilies has been restored in 4K for an exclusive Blu-ray re-release. This special edition also includes a new interview with director John Greyson about the film and the restoration.
