Captain Faggotron Saves the Universe
Captain Faggotron Saves the Universe is a wildly funny, proudly over-the-top new indie comedy from writer-director Harvey Rabbit. The film tells a kinky comic book-inspired story that would have the superheroes of Marvel clutching their pearls. Father Gaylord is a conflicted young priest who is hell bent on denying his homosexuality... but isn't very good at it. His supernaturally powerful alien ex-lover, Queen Bitch, is hatching a plan to turn Earth gay. The repressed priest turns to superhero Captain Faggotron for help, but the caped crusader finds himself highly conflicted. Clashing ideologies culminate in an orgy of gay demons and a love that no longer has to hide. Taking inspiration from the films of John Waters and Bruce LaBruce, this brazenly queer, subversively political new film was conceived in response to anti-gay attitudes around the world and uses camp as a tool of joyful resistance, confronting heteronormative structures with humor, garish glamour and a whole lot of attitude.
