IFC and Executive Producer Lorne Michaels welcome you back to Portlandia for season Five of IFC's Emmy-winning and Peabody Award-winning hit series, starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. In addition to the show's familiar recurring guests - Jeff Goldblum, Kumail Nanjiani, Ed Begley Jr., Kyle MacLachlan, Vanessa Bayer, and Steve Buscemi - Season Five welcomes new guest stars Shepard Fairey, Greta Gerwing, Peter Giles, Graham Wagner, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Anna Gunn, Justin Long, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, Seth Meyers, Brigitte Nielsen, parker Posey, Paul Reubens, Paul Simon, and Olivia Wilde.

Coupling, recoupling and uncoupling are the themes this season, featuring the origins of Toni and Candace's "special" friendship, Bryce and Lisa's stuffed startup, Malcolm and Kris' free range parenting, Lance and Nina's therapy sessions, and Fred and Carrie's stab at Portland's cutthroat real estate market. Shot entirely on location in Portland, the series was created and is written by Armisen, Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel.
