Biography: Travis Tritt

Born on February 9, 1963, in Marietta, Georgia, James Travis Tritt was an introverted child with a deep passion for country music.

However it wasn't until 1982 that Tritt began to seriously pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician. For several years, he recorded demo tapes with Warner Brothers and performed in small venues throughout the American South, developing his bluesy country-rock sound. In 1990, Tritt released his first album, Country Club, which was followed by several platinum albums and chart-topping singles. In this searching profile, discover why the Nashville music industry was initially reluctant to endorse Tritt and how the defiant musician continued to persevere with one success after another.

From notable hits such as "Can I Trust You With My Heart?" and "Foolish Pride" to "here's a Quarter" and "T-R-O-U-B-L-E," Biography presents the inspiring story of this Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter.
