Dr. Hands a graduate of Dartmouth college and Cornell Medical School did his internship and residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center where he was chief resident in pediatrics. Presently he is assistant Professor of clinical pediatrics at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and assistant attending pediatrician at Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC. Dr. Hands is also an attending Pediatrician at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Dr. Hands has practiced pediatrics in the metropolitan area for over 25 years.

This second volume covers many common medical problems that challenge any parent. Among other issues Dr. Hands included information about Bronchailitis, Croop and the Common Cold. On this volume Dr. Hands also covers GI problems like diarrhea and Constipation. He also discusses how to approach the febrile child and how to get the difficult child to take his medicine as well as information about child hospitalization.
