The Son Of Monte Cristo (1940)
A small Balkan country is in the grips of a cruel despot, Count Gurko Lanen (George Sanders), who has taken over the throne from the rightful ruler, Grand Duchess Zona (Joan Bennett). The visiting Count of Monte Cristo (Louis Hayward), acting as an epicene dandy banker, works to help the Grand Duchess in her cause by becoming a masked avenger who battles the Count's f-rces for the good of the people.
Captain Kidd (1945)
