The start of a saga, mythology for a new millenium - 4.75 out of 5 (3/24/2003)
Certain movies are long awaited and create a certain amount of discussion. Very near the top of a list to this type of movie has to be Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace. This prequel of the original trilogy set records when released. It also seems to have many divided as to its cinematic merits. Okay, anyone even remotely interested in this disc knows the story. The Trade Federation has set up a blockage of the tiny planet, Naboo. Set to resolve the dispute are a jedi master Qui-Gon Gin

The Force is Strong in this Great DVD Set! - 4.5 out of 5 (10/9/2001)
Okay, let's face it, The Phantom Menace isn't a very good movie. At least not compared to the three Star Wars titles that came before (or is that after?) it. But despite the fact that most Star Wars fans consider The Phantom Menace to be the worst of the lot when it comes to the Star Wars Saga, The Phantom Menace DVD is a wonderful disc that is a must-have for any science fiction fan, and perhaps even for every owner of a DVD player out there.

The second coming? No. A great film? Absolutely. - 4.75 out of 5 (3/28/2005)
When word came out that George Lucas would be making the three prequels to his STAR WARS trilogy, word-of-mouth was roused, and so was the hype and advertising. The year 1999 saw the release of the first of these prequels, STAR WARS: EPISODE I -- THE PHANTOM MENACE. But even though it was the biggest moneymaker of its year, the film has split STAR WARS fans and critics of every kind alike. While some critics and fans jumped out in favor, a majority of others attacked it savagely and condemned it

The Star Wars Saga continues... - 4.75 out of 5 (9/7/2004)
People always complain about the prequels, but to be honest I rather enjoy them, The action, adventure, the drama, The Podrace is awesome, but nothing compared to the Duel with Darth Maul and the Jedi. The DVD quality is top notch, and the sound is very loud, and clear! I can't wait for Revenge of the Sith so we can get back to Hand to Hand combat!

Episode I - A+ - 4.5 out of 5 (4/23/2002)
My pov here is the disc, not the film. I will allow viewers to dictate their own pov's of the film and it's content. The disc, is one of the five most brilliant DVD productions to date. It ranks with few others and if you are interested in the film in the least, would be a welcome addition to your collection. Everything included is listed here in DVD empire's list of contents, however for the record, it an astonishing amount of features, which are layered in so many directions, it's incredib
