"One of theismartest, funniest romantic comedies inia long time." - Christy Lemire, Associated Press
Based on Steve Martin's best-selling novella, and starring Golden GlobeŽ winner Claire Danes (The Family Stone), Golden GlobeŽ nominee Steve Martin and Jason Schwartzman (Bewitched), Shopgirl is a disarmingly funny love story. Mirabelle, brilliantly played by Danes, is an aspiring artist working behind the glove counter at a Beverly Hills department store when she meets two very different men - Jeremy (Schwartzman), a socially inept guy who doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and Ray (Martin) a wealthy entrepreneur who has the world at his feet. Filled with the mixed signals and missteps of a modern romance, Shopgirl is a fresh and witty, warm and funny romantic comedy you can't help but fall in love with.

Looking back through the years I think we can all say that we owe a lot to Steve Martin - the laughs and the performances, either in feature films or stand-up comedy.
Well, my fellow film geeks, here's another one for the list. This film about true love and chance meetings is filled with lots of heartfelt emotion, with a dash of comedy, and just the kind of stuff that will make you say, " I loved that movie!"
Claire Danes performance is amazing, and I feel that Jason Schwartzman is one o
