This 4-episode box set includes "The Skydivers," "The Creeping Terror," "Bloodlust" andi"Catalina Caper".
It's Mystery Science Theater 3000, America's only show that makes fun of really bad B Movies from the comfort of a spaceship floating above Earth. Joel Hodgson and Mike Nelson, along with their mechanical companions, wisecracking Crow and well-read chick magnet Tom Servo, make suffering through Hollywood's worst films a breeze. Adding their own dialogue, barrage of witty remarks, and an occasional colorful skit, the next hour and a half will fly by like it were only 90 minutes. Plus, there are no ushers with flashlights, crying babies, or women with big hair to spoil the fun!
Included In Volume One:
Bloodlust: Pirates, cannibals and "Mr. Brady".... Oh My!
Catalina Caper: Bikini clad nymphs swing their hips while Little Richard flaps his lips.
The Creeping Terror: An alien is eating couples in mid-bliss.
The Skydivers: A skydiving film without the skydivers.

great box set - 3 out of 5 (9/8/2003)
I couldn't believe it; they actually made Mystery Science Theater box sets! Of course I couldn't pass this up, so Mystery Science Theater Volume one was quickly added to my DVD collection. And boy, I was not disappointed.
This excellent collection includes four discs; each packed with the MST3K comedy we all know and love.
First there's the film Bloodlust, where John, Pete, Betty and Jeanie visit an uncharted island. While there they are captured by Bellow and his bizarre servant, Jondor.

Great collection, minimal frills - 3.5 out of 5 (11/24/2002)
Mystery Science Theater is the greatest TV show of all time. Thus, any release of MST3K on DVD is cause for excitement. Unfortunately, the only special feature on this 4 disc, 4 episode box set is the inclusion of the theatrical trailers for some of the films covered. The audio is monaural, and the video is high-quality, especially considering that the only way to see these before now was from a tape of the original broadcast (except for you lucky people who have MST3K in syndication in your
