How do you get theiman who has everything?
"Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo catch fire" (USA Today) in this sizzling, suspense-filled thriller from the director of Die Hard and The Hunt For Red October.
Thrill-seeking billionaire Thomas Crown (Brosnan) loves nothing more than courting disaster - and winning! So when his world becomes too stiflingly "safe," he pulls off his boldest stunt ever: stealing a priceless painting - in broad daylight - from one of Manhattan's most heavily-guarded museums. But his post-heist excitement soon pales beside an even greater challenge: Catherine Banning (Russo). A beautiful insurance investigator hired to retrieve the artwork, Catherine's every bit as intelligent, cunning and hungry for adventure as he is. And just when Thomas realizes he's finally met his match, she skillfully leads him into a daring game of cat and mouse that's more intoxicating - and dangerous - than anything either of them has ever experienced before!

A jewel of a "Crown" - 3.75 out of 5 (2/4/2000)
Okay, I'm gonna try this now.
The 1999 remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair" is not so much a remake as it is a retelling of the old story. The characters are different but basically the same as in the original 1963 movie that starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.
Confused yet?
Try watching the movie.
The entire movie is about misdirection. It wants you to see what you see but miss the events that are occurring about you. The entire film is a trick, from the opening credits which

Slick from start to finish - 4.25 out of 5 (1/30/2001)
A first-class suspense thriller starring Pierce Brosnan in full control as usual and just perfect for the part, and Rene Russo in her best role ever. Enjoyed this film tremendously, loved the innuendo between the two leading actors and the plot kept me on my toes, or should I say on the edge of my seat, until the very end. The sound track is simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

As near perfect as you're likely to see - 4.75 out of 5 (2/5/2000)
Rene Russo is amazing as is Pierce Brosnan who proves he can do more than just Bond films. But One of the best performances is from Denis Leary who is excellant, especially considering he's not a actor by trade.
Buy this and watch it many times, you won't be dissapointed.
Finally, Just want to say that it works without any problems in the UK on players modified to accept any region disc's (I use a Pioneer DV 717)
