The story of The Wall is told simply with the music of Pink Floyd, images and natural effects. There is no conventional dialogue to progress the narrative. Our story is about Pink, a Rock and Roll performer, who sits locked in a hotel room, somewhere in Los Angeles. Too many shows, too much dope, too much applause: a burned out case. On the TV, an all too familiar war film flickers on the screen. We shuffle time and place, reality and nightmare as we venture into Pink's painful memories, each one a "brick" in the wall he has gradually built around his feelings. Slowly he withdraws from the real world and slips further into his nightmare as he imagines himself as unfeeling demagogue, for whom all that is left is the demonstration of power over his unthinking audience, the culmination of the odious excess of his own world and the world around him. His internal self trial follows, as the witnesses of his past life, the very people who have contributed to the building of the wall, come forward and testify against him.

PINK FLOYD - THE WALL - 3 out of 5 (4/13/2002)
When they were still with Roger Waters, Pink Floyd was one of the most
important bands in the world and they have more than retained their musicianship very well, not to mention Waters' solo career has been one
of the most uncompromised flights of talent we have seen in recent Rock history. The loss of Syd Barrett is another story of loss the band
somehow managed to survive. Without either of them, Pink Floyd still performs many of their great works and Waters covers his own as often. When

One of the BEST DVD'S EVER! - 5 out of 5 (4/26/2004)
I am a very huge Pink Floyd fan after listening to it's legendary rock music and witnessing the Austrailian Pink Floyd show earlier this month. "Pink Floyd: The Wall" is simply a movie told only with the music of Pink Floyd featuring the music from "The Wall" album in 1979. This movie is about a rock star named Pink, that is slowly going crazy in his isolated LA Hotel Room, thinking about his father's death and all of the childhood memories which is slowly making Pink go mentaly insane! Now it i

You can't be a Floyd fan and not have seen this movie! - 4.75 out of 5 (11/3/2003)
Like the title says, if you're a Floyd fan, you've got to see this movie. Even if you aren't a Floyd fan, I still say it's a must. The scene in front of the bathroom mirror still gets to me. But, the rest of it is great. I'll never get tired of seeing this movie! Pink Floyd is still one of the best groups ever. I started listening to them before I was even born (according to my mother), and I'll listen to them for the rest of my life.
