amazing.. powerful - 4.5 out of 5 (2/3/2004)
If you watch this movie, especially as an adolescent, your whole outlook on life will be different. You'll think about your friendships, drug use, your family, school, and so much more. If your an adult, you'll get a scary but realistic look into what your children really go through as a teenager these days. I highly recommend renting or buying this movie.

WOW - 4 out of 5 (2/3/2004)
An exquisite example of the fine art of film-making. The screenplay, direction, cinematography, and acting are absolutely superb - so much so that it's hard to remember that this is not really happening right before your eyes!! (No problem with suspended disbelief here.) Sobering and enlightening, Thirteen is one of the best films I have seen, period. It will grab you by the heart and the gut at the same time. Do not miss!!
