Empire Review Grab a slice of American Cake???? - 4 out of 5  (1/6/2004) If you look hard enough, There should be a subtitle under AMERICAN WEDDING that says "Steve Stiffler comes of age" because even though Jim and Michelle are the ones getting married, Steve is the star of the show, and that is the chief complaint I have heard about the film, because a little Steve goes a long way. However the movie starts off with a bang (so to speak) as Jim prepares to propose to Michelle.
