Frodo Lives!! An all time favorite novel comes to life - 5 out of 5 (8/8/2002)
I remember when I was first introduced to J.R.R. Tolken's wonderful world of hobbits, elves and wizards. It was in high school and I was immediately hooked on the four books that make up the series. Tolkien's writings are so rich with imagery that you can see this world unfold in your mind's eye. Because the mental pictures were so strong for me I have to admit I had mixed feelings about the live action presentation of the first book of the ring trilogy, 'Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rin

This movie is not recommended to the few non-Tolkien fans out there that "just don't get it." For everybody else on planet earth, this is the greatest movie I have seen in many years. The adaptation of LOTR was deemed impossible by many of the so-called Hollywood intelligentsia. I am thrilled to death that Peter Jackson is proving them all wrong. Lord of the rings is simply amazing. The picture and sound is incrdible and the story is awesome. This has to be my all time favorite movie and dvd. I can't wait till the extended edition comes out in November!!!!!!

I realy loved this film! It was the best film I have seen in the cinema for many years. I saw it at least 12 times in the cinema, and now own the DVD and Video. I can't wait for the next one to come out!!
