Empire Review A wonderful love story with a twist - 4.25 out of 5  (5/22/2003) It takes real talent to make a decent sadomasochistic love story. In fact some people might even argue that such a thing were not even possible. But SECRETARY proves that theory wrong, In fact, it comes across as one of the most refreshing and romantic movies made in some time, and after watching it, I can imagine why critics and audiences everywhere adored the film.
