A story about one man's search …ifor who knows what.
All Tommy wants from life is what everyone else has - a job, a girl, a good time. But the harder he tries, the worse things get. And the more time he spends at Trees Lounge, his Long Island neighborhood bar, the more he gets involved with the lives of the colorful characters he meets there. Acclaimed actor Steve Buscemi wrote, directed and stars in this freshly original slice-of-life blend of humor, drama, and heartfelt emotion.

THE BUSCEMI SHOW - 4.5 out of 5 (11/20/1999)
In my opinion, Steve Buscemi is by far the most interesting american actor of the last ten years. He is not a star but one can observe more acting abilities in one of his fingers than -let's say- in the complete filmographies of Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis and Michaël Douglas.
TREES LOUNGE, Steve Buscemi's first movie as a director, is a little pearl deserving a second chance. Mark Boone Jr, Elizabeth Bracco and Stephen Baldwyn, along with Buscemi, give terrific performances in this story of
