A Mission Worth Embarking On! - 4.5 out of 5  (5/21/2003)
"Mission Impossible 2" is a textbook case on how to make a blockbuster film. The recipe is simple:
2 cups Tom Cruise (Actor and Producer)
1 cup John Woo (Director)
2 dashes hot newcomers (Thandie Newton and Dougray Scott)
1 tsp hard rock soundtrack (Kid Rock and Metallica)
1 part casting coup (Anthony Hopkins in a remarkable cameo)
1 Pre-Memorial day opening And you wind up with box office gold to the tune of 200 million and still counting! The question is did the   more >>

An All Out Action Assault - 4 out of 5  (2/4/2002)

I was very disappointed by this movie because John Woo is always shooting the same movie and Tom Cruise is not a good actor but the stunts are unbelievable, the photography outstanding so rent it first if you have not seen the movie.   more >>

Quite Simply, One of the Great All-Time Sequels... - 5 out of 5  (6/14/2001)
When Brian De Palma's Mission: Impossible was released to theaters more than four years ago, I had discovered a possible successful substitute for the James Bond series. Don't get me wrong, I still admire Bond on all accounts, but there was something distinctive about the style, plotting, and execution of M: I that felt strangely new to me, while at the same time entertaining me at a high energy level. That film, with superstar Tom Cruise at the helm, went on to be one of the highest grossing mo   more >>
