Sean Penn's Into The Wild tells the true story of young Christopher McCandless, who became so disillusioned with both his family and the materialism of society, that he packed up and travelled cross-country, going from town to town and saving up enough money for his desired journey: a trip into the Alaskan wilderness. There, he finds shelter in an abandoned bus and attempts to live off the land, but through a series of events winds up starving to death.
