This is one of the best true life stories about one of the most recognized leaders in African history. Shaka Zulu is about a kings rise to power during a time of turmoil in Africa with the British invasion of a then mysterious continent known to few: Africa.

10 hours, but impressive - 2.75 out of 5 (1/3/2001)
This appears to be a ten part mini-series of one hour episodes. It goes into a
great deal of history regarding the bloody past of the rise and fall of the Zulu
empire as lead by Shaka. Kind of a combination of history and myth. It is very
intriguing and I would say manditory viewing for anyone interested in visiting
South Africa and wanting to understand some of the background behind one of
their strongest tribes.
