No One Stays At The Top Forever.
Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci star in director Martin Scorsese's riveting look at how blind ambition, white-hot passion and 24-karat greed toppled an empire. Las Vegas 1973 is the setting for this fact-based story about the Mob's multi-million dollar casino operation- where fortunes and lives were made and lost with the roll of the dice.

Casino - 4 out of 5 (3/9/1999)
The Movie:
Casino, an epic movie about Las Vegas in 1973, is an all around excellent film.
Based around a true story, the movie follows the life of Sam "Ace" Rothstein as he moves his way up to the top of the ladder in Las Vegas. The film has an all-star cast with Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci starring in the lead roles of the film. The acting in this film is superb. The whole cast is wonderful. DeNiro's performance is at times riveting. For fans of crime based dra

Really good movie but a rip off to Goodfellas - 3.25 out of 5 (4/6/2004)
I really liked this movie although it's mostly narrative, It's possibly Robert De Niro's last best film, maybe not if u include Analyze This and Meet The Parents. Martin Scorsese is one brilliant director and he's one of my favorite directors. This film is very very well acted especially Sharon Stone. The foul mouth druggy Ginger blew me away was impressed by her performance. I do think she should have deserved the Oscar but Sarandon also did a good job in Dead Man Walking. Once again De Niro an

Excellent Companion Piece to Goodfellas - 5 out of 5 (3/22/2004)
Perhaps the most lavish Martin Scorsese movie of all time, "Casino" never fails to disappoint, and it easily qualifies for a space on the Director's short list of finest movies. Loosely based on Nicholas Pileggi's novel, "Casino" attempts to fathom the dark and intricate depths of both the Las Vegas underworld, and the shining surface of glitz and pizazz that is heaped on top of it. On the surface, we have Sam "Ace" Rothstein, played with extreme vitality and wit by Robert De Niro. Sam is burden
