Bowfinger:A great film - 4 out of 5 (2/14/2000)
In reviewing the movie "Bowfinger" I have to say I'm of two different minds.
One mind is the critic in me that loved the film. It was sharply written with hundred of in-jokes and clever attacks on Hollywood.
The other mind: The movie lover in me wanted something a little more funny. The movie was hysterical but I had to see it twice to get some of the jokes.
I have a feeling that I'm not alone in my dilemma....

STEVE MARTIN IS GOD! - 4.75 out of 5 (2/25/2000)
I just watched this DVD a few hours ago for the forth time since i bought it and it still kills me!
This is the best all out comedy in years. It aims to be funny and suceeds on nearly every attempt. Subtle jokes span the whole film, often missed amounst the louder, broader jokes, and sight gags, making repeat viewings a real treat.
Steve Martin is in fine form and his script is brilliant (it's nice to see an 80s comic survive into the 90s, unlike Chevy Chase... RIP). Eddie Murphy is funny and

THIS IS A COLLECTOR'S ITEM! - 4.75 out of 5 (2/12/2000)
Possibly the first genuinely funny comedy for years, never aiming for low brow or gross out humour. If people are too stupid to pick up on the genius of it all that their problem. The "Fake Purse Ninjas" finale is one of the funniest things i have ever seen. I just wish steve martin could write evering film he is in, his script is the main reason for the film's success. That said it is also the best thing Frank Oz has ever done.

The movie plot sucks, even though there are an few funny parts the overall movie is hard to watch to the end. It's really an b rated movie with good actors. As far as the dvd quality goes, it's pretty good but come on guys ---stick to the plots.......and then add the dvd quality.......I will like to suggest you rent this movie because this is definitely not an collectors item.
