Empire Review Another Jean-Claude movie...Vanne-Dammit! - 4 out of 5  (2/22/2000) Jean Claude Van Damme has fallen on some hard times as of late. His last few movies have gone straight to video and "Universal Soldier:The Return" opened to less than sparkling box office grosses. Let's be frank here! I've never been a great big Jean Claude fan. I tend to think his career sort of topped out with "Hard Target" and that was because it was directed by John Woo. Despite all of this, I have to say I really enjoyed this film.
