Only One Man In The Universe Can Get Then On The Right Trek…
Free Enterprise is a dysfunctional love story about two avid Star Trek fans, Robert and Mark, who meet their idol, William Shatner and discover he's nothing like his fictional counterpart. With their illusions shattered, the two friends must face their fears about the future in this contemperary comedy that combines the hip, L.A. romantic milieu of Swingers, with the knowing pop culture sophistication of Clerks.

THERE IS NO SANCTUARY! - 4.25 out of 5 (8/15/2002)
To truly appreciate this sci-fi spoof, you must be a child of the late 1960s-early 1970s. Many of the movies and TV shows parodied here are brainchildren of this era, the era where Captain Kirk and Commander Koening ruled the air waves, and Han Solo reigned supreme in movie theaters. Star Trek, Star Wars, Logan's Run, Planet of the Apes, nothing is sacrosanct or free from scrutiny.
Rafer Weigel plays "Robert" a textbook trekkie: intelligence without discipline, power without constructive purpos

Must see for all Trek fans - 4.5 out of 5 (10/27/2000)
A great movie done by intelligent, hard core fans of Star Trek the original series and all things sci-fi. It celebrates what all trek fans love about the show. The extras are among the best I've ever seen. There is even a separate subtitle track that explains the constant sci-fi references made in the dialog.

A must have for any Star Trek fan - 3.5 out of 5 (7/27/2000)
William Shatner seems to enjoy spoofing himself in "Free Enterprise". This movie is geared to Star Trek fans and videophiles. Average movie renters / buyers might not get it and may be disappointed, but I found it to be extremely enjoyable. It seems Captain James T. Kirk has finally lightened up. I highly recommend this movie and am disappointed that it wasn't released in theaters.
