He's having theiworst day of his life... over, andiover...
A weather man is reluctantly sent to cover a story about a weather forecasting "rat" (as he calls it). This is his fourth year on the story, and he makes no effort to hide his frustration. On awaking the 'following' day he discovers that it's Groundhog Day again, and again, and again. First he uses this to his advantage, then comes the realisation that he is doomed to spend the rest of eternity in the same place, seeing the same people do the same thing EVERY day.

Groundhog Day is Bill at his best! - 4.25 out of 5 (7/19/2000)
I always wanted to buy this DVD and finally did. Boy I am I glad I did. Bill Murray is very good in this Ramis film. Also Chris Elliot who had a small part was very good. I especially love it when Bill takes out his madness on his alarm clock. I love this DVD.

I'd love to stay here and write a better review, but I'm not going to. - 3.5 out of 5 (8/29/1999)
DVD REVIEW:
A not-too-shabby looking DVD that improves greatly on the laserdisc, which was marred by grain and artifacts. However, the Dolby Digital encoded 2 channel Dolby Surround soundtrack on the DVD is not as dynamic and "full" sounding as the PCM audio on the laserdisc, but is good enough for me.
MOVIE REVIEW:
BING! One of my favorite comedies starring one of my favorite comedic actors- Bill Murray. The timing is perfect throughout, and the actors still find a way to keep everything f

What goes around... - 3.5 out of 5 (4/6/1999)
It's doubtful that there will be a comedy as intelligent as Groundhog day this decade. Philosophical as well as romantic, this is a film with immense charm and what that puts other contenders in this slender genre in the shade.
Full marks to Bill Murray and Andie McDowall for playing their roles to perfection. The video quality and sound are fine, but they rightly play second fiddle to the script and performances.
