It will take your breath away.
A film crew headed by anthropologist Steve Cale and director Terri Flores journey through a river to find a mysterious Indian tribe and shoot a documentary on them. They save a guy called Paul Sarone from a sinking boat. He offers to help in their search for the tribe, but he is actually a snake-hunter looking for legendary anaconda snake, and when Cale is bitten by some tropical insect, Sarone takes over the boat.

Great snakes alive! - 3.5 out of 5 (6/13/2000)
"Anaconda" is a film that has the unique distinction of being one of the best giant snake movies ever made. Not such a great claim to fame as it's also one of the few giant snake movies ever made, but it still ranks up there as a good one.
A decent cast combine with decent acting, an interesting plot and some excellent C.G.I effects to make it actually better than it could have been.

anaconda is a great movie but has bad features - 4 out of 5 (8/19/1999)
film- this film is another make of an animale that kills. this one is a make of a killer snake. but in the middle of the movie is where it gets good.
features- the features are so boring when i bought it i al least suspecting a trailer but there was not even that. but the mvie is good at least.
audio- the audio is great.
video- the video is so good

Not very thrilling.Few good scenes!! - 2.5 out of 5 (5/13/1999)
Anaconda is below-average movie.There is no trilling action in this.
You get only 1 or 2 interesting and good scenes where the snake is involved.
Throw the other things to trash.Characters are maybe the worst.
Digital audio is awful too.
I expected more.Technically, only the good thing is the video.
Do not buy this one......Just rent it if you can.......
I was dissappointed with this one....

Horrible Movie, Below average DVD. - 2.5 out of 5 (3/28/1999)
This movie is hard to complement. The characters are probaly the worst I've seen in any movie ever. Ice Cube? Give me a break. Jon Voight: you know you can do better. I'm not even going to bother to mention the other ones, It is just AWFUL. No Plot, terrible characters: a recipe for disaster.
The DVD is not the best. The video is good, but the audio does not take advantage of the 5.1 surround and the features are just not there!
Not a movie to buy, rent at your own risk.
