The first is the best! - 4.5 out of 5 (9/25/2000)
Walt Disney's original "The Little Mermaid" was quite an achievement for them. Their animation division had been stalling around for several years when they decided to do an updated version of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale. The result is that the film went on to gross over 200 million worldwide. Though not enough to qualify it in the top five (This was the year of the Batman!) It still ranked in the top ten as one of the best films of the year.
