Customer Review One of the best movies I've seen! - 5 out of 5  (3/15/2004) This is hands down one of the best movies I've seen. It's complexity is expressed through the simplicity of the kids. Criterion has outdone themselves with the extras as well. The quality of the movie is so sharp you wouldn't believe it was shot in the early 60's! Parents definitely would want to screen it before letting their kids watch it. Adapted from the book of Nobel Prize winner William Golding, the movie relates the adventures of a group of english children lost in a desert island after the crash of their airplane.
