"Robin Williams isiHysterical. Sheer Genius. The Film isiFall-Down Funny." - Joel Siegel, Good Morning America
How far would an ordinary father go to spend more time with his children? Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) is no ordinary father, so when he learns his ex-wife (Sally Field) needs a housekeeper, he applies for the job. With the perfect wig, a little makeup and a dress for all occasions, he becomes Mrs. Doubtfire, a devoted British housekeeper who is hired on the spot. Free to be the "woman" he never knew he could be, the disguised Daniel creates a whole new life with his entire family. Outrageous, hilarious and often touching, Robin Williams makes this box-office hit a film to be watched again and again.

Hilarious film not without flaws, but packed with bonuses - 3.75 out of 5 (2/10/2000)
The extra material on this disc was for the most part originally produced for a $100 3-laserdisc set. A prime example of the amazing abilities of DVD...to fit (almost) all of that same stuff onto one side of a single disc for about 1/4 the price. I say "almost" because there is a little more to the laserdisc version: extra tv spots and a 1.85:1 version of the animation sequence using different colors.
As far as picture and sound goes, it's average quality in my opinion and nothing to rave ab

Well, there are ups and downs to Mrs. Doubtfire. The film itself is a great film and one of Robin Williams funniest.
The audio on the DVD is pretty good, it sounded very nice.
The video on the other hand, is pretty bad. It looks as if they just took the print that was lying on the floor since the movie was made and put it on DVD. Most notable shots are the opening of chapter 2(the siding on the house moves all over), chapter 3(a telephone line likes jumping up and down) and towards the en

A must own DVD! - 5 out of 5 (10/9/1999)
Robin Williams gave a Golden Globe winning performance as Daniel Hillard, a recent divorcee who would do anything to see his children more. So when his ex-wife decides to hire a nanny for his kids, with the help of his brother Daniel becomes Mrs. Doubtfire, the witty, smart English nanny. It's no wonder why this film won a Golden Globe for best picture, it's smart, it's sad and most important hilarious.
The audio is great as well as the video, which is letterboxed and crystal clear.
But what r
