THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK is based upon a John Updike novel about three bored and lonely women who mess around with witchcraft in the late 1960's and through some mystical powers and wishes, they summon the perfect man: Ole' Lucifer himself!

Early DVD has soft image - 3.5 out of 5 (12/21/1999)
Most reviews I've read of this DVD release have been favourable in every way, including image quality. However, this has to be one of the five worst transfers out of my fifty discs. Though presented in anamorphic widescreen, the image appeared to me to have been culled from an old laserdisc master. The result is a very soft image where characters in the distance have smudged faces with definition similar to the reflection of a face in a fogged-up mirror. There is some grain present, but othe

GO GET IT!!! - 4.75 out of 5 (10/26/1998)
Wow, what can I say - This is truly a GREAT movie!
It's totally worth the purchase. The Picture is very good(not the best) and the sound is really good!
I can totally recommend this title!
