Customer Review GARBAGE - 1.5 out of 5  (8/24/2002) Do NOT be fooled. This is not the original classic that the title claims to be. The new footage does nothing but convolute the progression of the film. I cannot believe that I purchased this dreck. Find the newly released Elite Milennium Edition for a pristine copy of the original with great extras and commentary.   more >> Customer Review Find the original version - 2 out of 5  (11/15/2001) What they did to this smart and delightfully creepy film is a crime. They took out meaningful scenes and replaced them with unnecessary and amateurish explanation, they added a glaringly out of place new bald-headed skinhead reverend, a worthless prologue, and an ending that totally invalidates the rest of the Living Dead films (Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead) What were they thinking?!? PLEASE don't bother with this version, go see the original cut. George Romero has every right to be angr   more >> Customer Review WARNING! Do not buy this version! - 1 out of 5  (7/30/2000) While Night of the Living Dead is one of the best films of all time, this version was not approved by George Romero. This version contains new footage (both audio and video) that ruins everything that was good about the original. It also eliminates several scenes that were crucial to the original movie. If you can find the Elite Special Edition, buy that one. This DVD is execrable. Don't say you weren't warned.   more >>
