Fifteen years ago, Michael Myers brutally massacred his sister. Now, after escaping from a mental hospital, he's back to relive his grisly crime again, and again...and again.
This is Halloween like you've never seen or heard it before!
Halloween has been fully restored under the supervision of Lucasfilm's THX Digital Mastering Services. The video was transferred by the award-winning colorist Adam Adams (Terminator2, Titanic) from a new 35mm interpositive (mode from the original camera negative) and approved by the film's cinematographer Dean Cundey (Jurassic Park, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The new Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack was created by Chace Productions in association with Alan Howarth using the original 16-track music studio master and the recently discovered original 35mm magnetic dialogue & effects tracks.

This DVD package is just great.Sound is brilliant
(especially the score), picture wonderful, features

The greatest horror movie of them all becomes the greatest DVD title of them all! There are many extras included on the discs - I particulary liked the large collection of stills from the movie itself and behind the scenes. Magical!

A Classic the way it was meant to be! - 5 out of 5 (12/26/1999)
Of all slasher films, I prefer Halloween as the
best one of all! Every horror fan should definitely
check this flick out which is known for defining a
new genre and style to horror. There's really no
similar movie as good nor as creepy the way how
Halloween haunts its viewers - not even SCREAM!!!!
I saw this classic more than 4 years ago, almost
3 dozen times!! This as a result gives me an
advantage of being able to see how much this new DVD
