A Comedy about Life, Liberty, andithei Pursuit of two Ex-Presidents.
They used to run the country, now they're running for their lives! Two former Presidents are framed in a scandal by the current President (Dan Aykroyd) and are pursued by armed agents. The two squabbling political foes plunge into a desperate and delightfully frantic search for the evidence that will establish their innocence. As they scramble through the real America, they get an unexpected crash course in how their policies affected the citizens.

Grumpy old Presidents - 4 out of 5 (4/16/2001)
I wasn't quite sure whether to call this film "Grumpy Old Presidents" or the
"Odd Chiefs of Staff." Either way, I have to say that I enjoyed MY FELLOW
AMERICANS as much as I did any of the other "Odd Couple" movies. Walter
Matthau wasn't in this film but James Garner does a perfectly good job at
replacing him as the other half of the Grumpy old combo.

Grumpy Old Presidents! - 3.25 out of 5 (9/11/1998)
This is yet another vehicle for Jack Lemon to argue and trade insults with his co-star, this time James Garner replaces Walter Matthau. It is however still enjoyable watching the on screen bickering and the conspiracy plotline provides a couple of laughs and thrills. The whole movie has a glossy look to it and a pretty good soundtrack with a nice helicopter crash.
Support comes from other old favorites Lauren Bacall,John Hurt and Dan Ackroyd.
