An extremely entertaining venture into the twisted mind of Tromaville's mayor, Lloyd Kaufman. - 3.5 out of 5 (6/7/2000)
This movie is enjoyable for many reasons. First, the set-up is so ridiculously hilarious, you know only someone like Mr. Kaufman could come up with it. Secondly, the acting is generally better than the normal Troma flick, which is nice. Also, the nudity and sex is actually somewhat pertinent to the plot. Finally, the entire movie is just so soaked in lunacy that you cannot help but to laugh. So, if you are a fan of Troma, or if you just need a good laugh, pick up Kabukiman.

Not bad - 3.5 out of 5 (7/7/1999)
Good Troma movie, not as fun as The Toxic Avenger or Tromeo and Juliet, but pretty enjoyable. There's lots of cool extras on the disc, and the video and audio are decent.

Kabukiman Great Fun - 3.75 out of 5 (6/27/1999)
Sorry, I got a new e-mail and I want to restore all my original comments onto one name.
I don't like Troma really, but I must say Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD is a great, fun film. Harry Griswold is a cop who soon inherits Japanese powers, and the results are tremendously fun. I highly recommend this film for it's wackiness. The DVD is also great, has some really nice features such as a "cartoon pilot", the Kabukiman rap song and more. Great move, great DVD.
