Empire Review CHARADE (CRITERION EDITION) - 3.25 out of 5  (2/19/2001) Stanley Donen is best known as a legendary producer/director of Hollywood Musicals, including his best known film, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (which was his other Criterion release on LaserDisc only that you'll never see on DVD) from 1952. The Criterion edition is by far and away the best in sound and picture quality. And any other copy beside's the Criterion Version is unacceptable.
