What a surprise...you'll purchase all other seasons! - 4.25 out of 5 (12/5/2005)
Just purchased it last weekend and viewed all five discs in a single day. I was engaged to this series immediately. I got it after a friend's recommendation and liked it very much. The plot is excellent, the special effects are simply great, and fights with Cylons appear at the exact time needed, lasting the time required only, and not distracting the watcher from the personal and group drama of the characters. The series is supported in the characters, not in the fight and explosion effects. I'

Battlestar Galactica is one of the best shows on television. Count me among those who originally thought this show wouldn't live up to the hype. I skipped the original miniseries due to my skepticism, but months later I watched "33" -- the first episode of Season One -- and I was immediately hooked.
