Three operatic tenors (George Hamilton, Joe Mantegna and Danny Aiello) have performed all over the world together, until a disastrous performance in Mexico City causes the three men to break up.
Ricardo (Mantegna) is caught off guard by the announcement that his estranged daughter will shortly marry Armand (Hamilton). As distasteful as he finds the prospect, he is not one to pass up an opportunity to reunite the three tenors.
As the three men, their children (legitimate and not) and wives (past and future) flock to the wedding, the world's press gathers to record the events, not knowing that the three tenors are about to put on the show of their lives.
