Robert DeNiro and Billy Crystal team with Lisa Kudrow, Chaz Palminteri and director/co-writer Harold Ramis to make you a comedy offer you can't refuse in this laugh-out-loud mob hit. De Niro, deftly spoofing the wiseguy roles that have been a staple of his estimable career, plays powerful New York crime family racketeer Paul Vitti. Crystal, always one joke ahead of sleeping with the fishes, is shrink, Ben Sobel, who has just days to resolve Vitti's emotional crisis and turn into a happy, well-adjusted gangster. Yes, Sobel is a falmily pychiatrist.But surely this isn't the kind of family he had in mind.

this film is one of the best comedy I ve seen.
I did not think it would be this good.
It made me laugh and laugh again.......
Robert De Niro and Bill Crystal made a great couple here.
Audio and video are great.
Features are not enough but ok!
You got some gags.....
A must buy for collectors.

Much better than I expected. A great Movie! - 4.75 out of 5 (9/7/1999)
I didn't expect very much from this film and maybe that is why I liked it so much. I guess I didn't expect the humor from DeNiro to seem quite right but I was soooo wrong. This movie is hilarious but not slapstick. The comedy is done perfectly and the acting is superb.
The DVD is good all the way around. The picture is great, the sound is very good, and the Extras are better than average in my opinion considering you get trailers, bios, two commentaries, and a segment with bloopers on it.

Robert De Niro could almost pass for a Mob guy ... - 3.5 out of 5 (9/3/1999)
Robert De Niro scares the hell outa me in this movie. This movie is not as funny as I thought It would be. Yeah I laughed once and I couldn't remember what it was for. Oh yeah the part where Billy Crystal is taken into a factory full of mob guys and laughs after a macho mob person opens the meeting. Had potential but ended up being a total nothing as it was boring. No real plot to talk of.
