An exemplory disc for a unique brand of film! - 4.5 out of 5 (5/19/2005)
If you are a regular fan of anime, you're not going to find anything out of the ordinary or groundbreaking with the story of Appleseed. It's rather formulaic to storytelling in the anime world of sci-fi - cool girl, big robots, huge cities of the future on the outskirts of a war-torn wasteland, fights with big robots, typical "we must be cautious with our *insert race, cause or creed here* for the sins of the fathers may come back to haunt our children" philosophy, you get the point.
