A Wing and a prayer! - 3.25 out of 5 (12/26/2000)
I recall being one of about fourteen people that actually paid to see "Wing Commander" in the theater.
I also recall being one of the last to leave the theater, and that was halfway through the film! You might wonder what possessed me to pick it up off the local rack and take a stab at watching it again, at home, on my DVD player.

Hope springs eternal! Unfortunately so does stupidity! And I

Some people may not like it. But I think Wing Commander was good. - 4.5 out of 5 (1/6/2000)
"It wasn't like the original *sniff sniff*" I'm so tired of hearing that. If these "film critics" knew how difficult it was to put one of these films together then I would tell them to give it a try themselves and see if they can do it any better. Sorry, I just felt the need to say that after reading some of the previous comments. I disagree with you guys, this film is great. - 4.75 out of 5 (11/16/1999)
I am a big fan of the WC series, and I was not disapointed. In fact, I seen the movie late cause of many bad rumors on it, but when I saw it, I found it excellent on many points and I think the ships design change hopefully from the game (BTW, If I remember well, there is not a game in the serie where the previous ships was kept) This new layout of the universe kickass and the special effects are great.
So don't listen them and go buy this awesome DVD.

Hey...this is not as bad as it seems! - 4.5 out of 5 (8/6/1999)
I don't know about anybody else, but I really liked Wing Commander. I mean, sure..it's friggin' cheesy 'n' stuff but aren't any other sci-fi flicks? And the special effects? Come on! It's space for crying out loud! Do you expect to see the details on every single ship when there's hardly a light source around?
And comparisons to the video game? Come on! Do you really think audiences would flock to a movie that was totally true to the original game? Anybody remember Street Fighter the
