A war movie you haven't seen... - 4.5 out of 5 (1/25/2006)
For war movie vets, Tae Guk Gi is in the top three on their lists. It's nice to see war movie about a forgotten war and from another point of view. I feel like this is the Korean Saving Private Ryan. You see the realism and emotion. It's not trying to be "Art" like a lot of war movies that are trying to make a point. It tells a story with non-stop action once the war starts.

An amazing movie... - 4.75 out of 5 (11/9/2005)
This is one of my all time favorites. This is a beautiful movie that will make you cry. It has all the gritty realism of Saving Private Ryan, but with a much better storyline. Anyone who likes foreign movies and/or war movies won't be disappointed with this.
