Every Mom Wants To Be Wanted, But Not For Murder One!
Beverly Sutphin seems like the perfect happy homemaker. A loving dentist husband Eugene and their two healthy kids Misty and Chip, the Sutphin family is as American as apple pie. The only problem is there seems to be a worm in this particular apple. Beverly lives her life the way she believes everyone should live theirs. It's those little rules of social etiquette and handy household cleaning tips that make all the difference! Flossing is good for strong healthy teeth. Recycling is good for the environment. Being polite to your neighbor is good for the community. Not following these rules can be bad - very bad in Beverly's book and, like anyone who's a little upset, there are times Beverly just wants to kill someone. In fact, maybe she has, which is why the police are going through her garbage and the newspapers are calling her SERIAL MOM. Beverly's arrest comes as some surprise to Eugene and the kids. But the hilarious and unpredictable comedy that follows will come as no surprise to people who love wholesome family movies-hard-boiled.

Anyone for some serial? - 3.5 out of 5 (4/19/2001)
SERIAL MOM strikes sarcastically at so many clichés, it becomes hard to keep
track of them all. The film manages to strike upon the medias fascination
with serial killers, horror films and their influence and the horrible,
horrible thing called being a housewife.
Kathleen Turner plays Beverly Sutphin. Beverly is the perfect mother to her
dentist husband (Sam Waterston), her over-sexed daughter Misty (Ricki Lake)
and her horror film junkie son, Chip (Matthew Lillard.) She cooks their

Just picture Donna Reed as a serial killer. (Giggle!) - 3.75 out of 5 (7/23/2000)
Kathleen Turner did a fantastic job in this hysterical movie about a "Donna Reed" figure on a murder spree.
If you didn't wear your seatbelt, say please and thank you, or were just down right a pain in the butt, she got you.
She gets you with scissors, a flaming torch, and runs you over with a stationwagon. It was the part that she was meant to play! The comedy in this movie was excellent.
With a good number of featurettes, the trailer, and audio commentary, you certainly get your money
